Ivanhoe Australia has announced its first shipment of copper gold concentrate from the Osborne mine in Queensland.
More than 10 000 wet tonnes of concentrate has been loaded and will be shipped from Townsville today.
The shipment has around $15 million worth of copper and $5 million of gold.
It follows the miner's first pour of gold dore at Osborne.
Ines Scotland, Ivanhoe Australia's CEO, said the start of cashflow from this mine is a major milestone for the company.
"The sale of our first copper, gold, and silver concentrate from Osborne is great news.
"It's a clean concentrate with no penalty elements and we are achieving better than a 95% copper recovery through the mill," Scotland said.
"We are planning another three shipments this year followed by full production through the mill."
