Isri Seats will feature a range of seats for construction workers on Stand 2099 at the 2009 NSW Mining & Energy (M&E) exhibition at the Muswellbrook Showground from September 22-24.

The New Construction Seat line, which has a 150 kg weight capacity rating, is the latest development from the world’s largest manufacturer of suspension seats for drivers of commercial vehicles.

Isri products range from basic static seats to mechanical and air suspension seats with integrated lap-sash seat belts and driver-adjustable shock absorbers.

All Isri seats are designed to meet or exceed internationally recognised ergonomic and safety standards and support operator comfort and productivity.

In Europe, Isri seats are specified as original equipment by manufacturers including Caterpillar, JCB and Komatsu for mining, earthmoving, cranes and materials handling vehicles, while Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Scania, IVECO, DAF and Renault specify Isri driver’s seats as original equipment in their trucks and buses.

Isri, which was established in Germany in 1919 as a manufacturer of bicycle seats and springs, established a wholly owned Australian subsidiary in 1993.

“Isri seats are now fitted as standard original equipment by three of the four truck manufacturers in Australia and Isri is the premium factory option for the fourth OEM,” Isri Australia’s General Manager Ashley Thomas said.

“Isri seats are also fitted to 90% of new buses and coaches built in Australia.”
