SUBMISSIONS are open for the construction of a residential development in the heart of Port Hedland.
The 1,012sqm site is located three blocks from the site of Port Hedland’s proposed new oceanfront hotel.
The zoning will allow for the development of up to five dwellings.
The proposed site is set back from the ocean, with dual street frontage to Morgan and Kingsmill Streets, and is located close to the existing hospital.
An independent panel will assess proposals from developers, which must address a range of criteria including climate responsive design and the use of innovative building materials.
Submissions focussing on an accelerated program of delivery will form a key part of the evaluation process and will be looked upon favourably.
Submissions close at noon (WDST) on Wednesday, 6 February.
