Glencore has contracted parts supplier H-E Parts International for a one-year supply agreement across 24 mine sites in Australia.
The agreement incorporates the supply and overhaul of new and service exchanged radiators for Glencore Coal Assets’ mobile equipment fleets.
This includes all of Glencore’s ancillary mining equipment and prime production mining truck, excavator and drill rig fleets.
Glencore has the option to extend the contract for a further 12 months based on performance.
“The ability to supply application specific cooling systems to our mining and industrial customers working in some of the toughest conditions in the world had demonstrated the engineering and quality prowess that H-E Parts has become synonymous with,” Mining Solutions vice president Ashley Hams said.
This contract will incorporate independent radiators and complete modular nose cones that include the radiator, fan and motor and charge air cooler as a complete assembly.
Products from H-E Parts-acquired COR Cooling are designed to provide extended service intervals while reducing equipment downtime and life cycle costs, according to H-E Parts.
The company’s Mining Solutions cooling division, which exists in Kalgoorlie and Perth, Western Australia; Paget, Queensland; and Rutherford, New South Wales, will manage this contract delivery.
“H-E Parts believes that the partnership of the proven COR Cooling product line, combined with in-house engineering and service support, will provide a flexible, cost-effective, long-term solution for Glencore and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship,” the company stated.
