GR Engineering enters into $360 million contract

GR Engineering has won an engineering, procurement and construction contract for the development of Moly Mines’ processing plant.

GR will act as the sub-contractor to the Chinese CACS Corporation for the construction of the 10 million tonne per annum processing plant at the Spinifex Ridge molybdenum copper project in Western Australia.

It is planning to commence work on the project during the first half of the 2011/2012 financial year.
GR expects the contract to be worth $360 million over a 30 month period.

The contractor has been associated with project since 2010 when it completed a definitive feasibility study.

GR Engineering managing director Joe Ricciardo stated that “it will be satisfying to be involved with the Spinifex Ridge project from feasibility studies right through to construction.”
