Gina Rinehart will headline an impressive list of guest speakers when the third annual Resources and Energy Investment Symposium starts in Broken Hill on Sunday.
The four-day event will hear from 12 well-known speakers including Dick Smith, Gina Rinehart, and Nick Minchin.
"We've got a line-up of keynote speakers that you will not find – in my opinion – at any other event in Australia," Symposium Managing Director Kerry Stevenson told the ABC.
"Gina is one of Australia's iconic mining pioneers and I think what she has to say will be extremely relevant.
"I think it is important to have people like Gina give a comment on what she feels is the future of the (mining) industry and what we can do to keep it strong for the future.
Rinehart will appear via video link, with Professor Ian Plimer to chair a session after her address to discuss the issues raised.
"This (Symposium) is not a one-way street – this is an interactive forum – it's where people can say what they think and I think some good thing might come out of it," Stevenson said.
More than 350 delegates are expected to attend this year’s event.
