GHH, a German manufacturer of mining, tunnelling and civil engineering machinery, has set out to grow its Australian market presence.

The company supplies its machines, including loaders, dump trucks and utility vehicles for rock logistics above and below ground to a number of countries across the globe.

To expand company presence, GHH has partnered with Sydney-based Specialist Tunnel Excavation (STE) to cover the eastern Australian market.

GHH global sales manager Ken Stapylton said the company wanted to be closer to its Australian customer base.

“We want to shorten the distance to our customers in Australia,” he said.

“Contact before, during and after the purchase is important to us – after all, we are happy to supply tailor-made solutions.”

STE has 25 years’ experience in Australia and provide solutions for bulk and detail rock excavation.

“GHH completes our range of high-quality machines for almost everything in the field of rock logistics that drives on wheels,” STE director Lee McCourt said.

STE was established to provide efficient and safer methods of excavation, with GHH’s product portfolio adding to STE’s vision.

A first joint project is in the works, and a range of vehicles from other cooperations are being readied for eastern Australia.
