Gems introduces heavy duty explosion proof pressure transducers for oil and gas equipment

Gems Sensors & Controls (Gems) has announced the global launch
of a new range of heavy duty explosion proof pressure transducers designed for
use in oil and gas equipment applications. Gems is a leading supplier of liquid
level sensors, pressure sensors and flow sensors, as well as fluid control
devices to the oil and gas industry.

The Gems 31EP/EA and 32EP/EA Series heavy duty explosion proof
pressure transducers are expressly designed to withstand the more extreme
environmental and pressure conditions common to oil and gas equipment
applications. With reliable operation covering over 100 million cycles, the
transducers provide a more robust, reliable, and cost-effective alternative to existing
solutions.

Key features of the Gems 31EP/EA and 32EP/EA Series pressure
transducers include sputtered thin-film pressure sensing technology; all
stainless steel wetted parts and IP67 enclosure; compact design facilitating simple
installation within space constrained hazardous environments; choice of CSA or
ATEX hazardous area approval; and broad selection of pressure ports, electrical
outputs, cable lengths and configurations.

The designated 32 Series of each group features higher proof pressure
specifications. Depending upon the selected range, full-scale burst pressure
performance can exceed 60,000 PSI (4000 bar).

All transducers in the Series are manufactured by Gems in-house using
the very latest automated equipment to ensure absolute product quality and
consistency.
