Fork level switch

ENDRESS+Hauser has released a vibrating-fork level switch for bulk solids said to function in temperatures up to 300°C

ENDRESS+Hauser has released a vibrating-fork level switch for bulk solids said to function in temperatures up to 300°C.

The switch is functional in Zone 20 explosion hazard areas, with IEC Ex certification.

As the product in the bin or silo starts to cover the vibrating fork, the vibration amplitude changes and a switching signal is triggered. This means that the properties of the bulk solid (such as particle size, density, dust and magnetism) are not critical to the reliability of the switch.

The unit is functional for material with densities as low as 10 g/L.

The fork can be mounted vertically or horizontally and is available in a standard finish, or with Polytetrafluoro

Ethylene (PTFE) or Ethylene Tetrafluroethylene (ETFE) coating for corrosion resistance in mining and chemical applications.
