Focus appoints preferred contractor

Focus Minerals has appointed the preferred contractor for its Three Mile Hill treatment plant.

Focus Minerals has appointed the preferred contractor for developments at its Three Mile Hill treatment plant in Western Australia.

Como Engineers will refurbish and re-commission the plant, which will allow the company to increase its total output to over 100,000 ounces of gold per annum by 2011.

Focus CEO, Campbell Baird, said re-commissioning at the plant will allow the company to broaden its resource base and underpin its long-term development projects.

According to the company, Como Engineers has “extensive experience” in the mineral processing industry and has worked with a number of leading engineering and mining companies.

The Three Mile Hill refurbishment is scheduled to commence by the end of April, with plant commissioning expected to get underway by late December 2009.
