Fortescue Metals Group has released the latest figures on its current ore reserves and mineral resources.
As of the 30 June, this year, the miner had 5.261 billion tonnes in hematite mineral resources across its Pilbara operations.
This is close to a three per cent decrease from its previously reported figures last year, with the grade also drop 0.2 per cent year on year.
Ore reserves have also decreased in tonnage year on year, slipping from 2.4 billion tonnes in 2015 to 2.173 billion tonnes as of 30 June 2016.
In terms of its magnetite resources, its ore reserves have not change, however it has seen a 21 per cent leap in its mineral resource levels, from 5.504 billion tonnes to 6.706 billion tonnes.
