Fortescue’s chief financial officer Stephen Pearce has been appointed to the company’s board as an executive director.
Pearce has been serving as CFO since 2010 with prior senior management roles in the resources industries.
Fortescue’s chairman Andrew Forrest said, “Stephen has the energy, drive, and passion that are intrinsic to Fortescue. Stephen’s understanding of international finance and his leadership have been fundamental to Fortescue’s growth and robust financial position.”
Pearce’s new role allegedly replaces previous executive director Peter Meurs, who resigned in April to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints full time.
