Rio Tinto and Fleetwood have entered into a new agreement for accommodation at Rio's Searipple Village.
The new contract will see it upgrade the village, according to Fleetwood.
From the start of this month it will now provide accommodation of Rio Tinto's operational workforce of more than 650 people.
Fleetwood will also provide 220 new three bedroom units to replace some of the older four bedroom units in the village, as well as the upgrade of some of the existing catering and recreational facilities.
"Upgrading the village is expected to cost approximately $14 million from the sale of the units to be replace, and is expected to be completed by March 2013," Fleetwood stated.
It comes after Rio agreed to an extension of its accommodation contract with Fleetwood for its Searipple Village at Karratha in May.
