Fire response capability at QCLNG

The QCLNG Plant on Curtis Island has taken delivery of a new
fire truck, to enhance incident response capabilities.

At a pricetag of $1.1 million, the truck is designed and
built by Queensland’s Quick Corp Fire Engineering for Corporate Protection
Australia.

QGC’s general manager for plant operations Paul Bruner said the vehicle was designed to
complement other onsite emergency services equipment.

“QGC has good relationships with the emergency services
right across our business and those links have helped us to build a strong incident
response capability,” Bruner said.

“Training and preparation for incident response have been
under way for several years as part of our planning for operations.”

QGC said it has one of the largest private fire services in
Australia, with crews working at sites in the Western Downs and on Curtis Island.
