Fire breaks out at FMG mine

 A fire has broken out at Fortescue’s Cloudbreak iron ore mine's screenhouse.

A FMG spokesperson confirmed the blaze, which erupted on Saturday.

“Fortescue Metals Group confirms that a fire occurred in the ore processing facility (OPF) at the company’s Cloudbreak mine on Saturday morning,” a spokesperson told Australian Mining.

“The fire was attended to promptly by Cloudbreak’s emergency response team and no one was injured.

“There is expected to be no material impact on production.”

How did fire break out in the screenhouse at Cloudbreak over the weekend? Was there much damage?
