Two fly-in fly-out workers have been hit in a lightning strike in the Pilbara.
The two men were working on the Solomon rail line when lightning struck one, a 24-year-old man, and knocked the other off his feet, on Sunday.
The workers were employed by McConnell Dowell, reports the ABC.
Both went to South Hedland Health Campus. The 24-year-old, a Queenslander, suffered burns to five per cent of his body and is in a stable condition.
McConnell Dowell said the two injured men were part of a five-man crew and were about to leave the work site after witnessing lightning in the area.
The West Australian reports that WorkSafe is expected to investigate the incident.
