Fenner Dunlop open for business in Brisbane

Fenner Dunlop COO Steve Abbott and CFO Stuart Milliken celebrate the opening.

Fenner Dunlop has entered a new era of manufacturing by opening its Brisbane branch.

The Queensland centre will serve as a hub for engineered conveyor solutions, field service and after-sales support, and is strategically located less than eight kilometres from the Brisbane CBD.

The star of the newly opened branch is Fenner Dunlop’s state-of-the-art idler plant, which will reduce lead times on idlers from the country’s overseas suppliers.

Fenner Dunlop’s management team and key customers toured the 3300 square-metre facility and had the chance to admire the new idler plant.

The idler plant is entirely robotically automated, ensuring a consistent finished product every time.

Other products on the line include steel rollers covering standard sizes, designed for cost-efficient production while maintaining high quality.

At the open day event, customers enjoyed an interactive safety-focussed 3D virtual reality presentation, allowing them to see how technological innovations can optimise conveyor design.

The conveyor drive pulley was also on display, showcasing some of Fenner Dunlop’s engineered conveyor solutions capabilities.

Fenner Dunlop general marketing and sales manager Trevor Svenson was grateful of the company’s employees that made the day such a success and was pleased to see so many customers in attendance.

“It was fantastic to see all our valued customers touring our operations and understanding up close the complexities of producing an idler locally,” Svenson said.
