ExxonMobil Asia Pacific has bolstered its presence in the Australian retail and e-commerce sector through the appointment of MotorActive as an authorised distributor of Mobil lubricants.
New South Wales-based automotive specialist MotorActive, originally founded as Meguiar’s Australia in 1990, is known for catering to car enthusiasts with a number of products such as lubricants, additives, paints, decals and wheels.
“We are excited to join with MotorActive, which is highly respected within the automotive industry and enjoys close ties with the motor enthusiast community in the country,” said Yasser Al-Azzawi, director of business development, Asia Pacific Lubricants Business, Mobil Oil Australia.
The company’s appointment of MotorActive as a distributor will add Mobil products, including synthetic engine oil brand Mobil 1, to the retailer’s merchandise. The move is part of ExxonMobil’s plan to expand the availability of its lubricants to drivers and motor enthusiasts through retail and online platforms, Al-Azzawi explained.
MotorActive managing director Bruce Morrison said the company looked forward to creating “new synergies in product distribution and customer engagement for Mobil lubricants through a mix of digital advertising, social media and product promotions”.
