The Queensland Government will provide four junior mineral explorers with grants totaling $159,000.
The Queensland Government will provide four junior mineral explorers with grants totaling $159,000, Queensland Mines and Energy Minister Stephen Robertson has announced.
The grants, which are the third round of payments under the State Industry Network Initiative program, are meant to advance exploration opportunities in Queensland, Robertson said.
“This initiative is designed to give our junior mineral explorers the opportunity to research and develop, or to test new exploration methods and concepts,” he said.
According to Robertson, the grants are part of the Queensland Government’s $29.08 million Smart Mining — Future Prosperity program.
“Round three of the Industry Network Initiative program builds upon more than $305,000 in grants already awarded during rounds one and two,” he said.
