Exhibitors unveil new equipment at QME

Some of the leading names in Australian mining will be attending the Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition (QME) in Mackay, 26th – 28th of July.

New technologies and methods of production within the mining sector will be the main focus throughout the exhibition’s agenda, as well as discussion for the future of the coal mining industry globally. With a strong customer base and distribution network in the Mackay area, the exhibition presents an opportunity to connect and network with key industry influencers as well as the local community.

Over 200 exhibitors from all sectors ranging from conveyer- belts to PPE will be showcasing their newest developments at exhibition stands.


Toyota will showcase the ‘Unbreakable’ Hilux SR – a vehicle utilised by the mining and engineering industries. A custom-built accessories trailer will also be on display that will host mining specific accessories for attendees to view and inspect.

Toyota has chosen to exhibit at the Queensland Mining and Engineering Expo as it sees this event to be the premier mining industry event of the 2016 calendar attracting an extensive number and range of mining and engineering experts and is the ‘Official Vehicle’ sponsor of the QME event.


ATOM will be showcasing their Industrial Vending Machines, allowing customers to track their inventory, reduce costs and save money. The machines can be configured to vend almost any product.

CRC Perma-Mend is a new exciting product that will be featured at QME. It is a UV light activated, fiberglass reinforced, self-adhesive repair patch. There’s no mixing, no measuring and no mess. Simply cut the patch to size, apply the patch to the surface, remove the protective film and cure with sun or a UV torch.


Holden will have the Colorado Dual Cab and Single Cab vehicles on Display.  Holden see the QME as great exposer to our product the Colorado and with the new MY17 Colorado due to be launched late this year.


Mastermyne Group is celebrating 20 years of supporting our local community and 10 years of demonstrating our services at QME.  This year, Mastermyne has chosen to showcase the newly formed Mastertec business.


Brett DeVries, Chief Engineer of Research and Development for conveyor belt accessories based in Flexco head office in Chicago, Illinois, USA will be joining the team at QME, where he will officially release his white paper into the Australian market.

Flexco has also been busy launching three new products to boost belt conveyor productivity that will be on display at QME 2016.


This year ESS is introducing the Heavy Duty InLine cleaner and a new development in skirting and sealing systems.  Both products will assist with reducing shutdown maintenance times as well as providing an improved performance for carry back and spillage prevention at conveyor transfer points.
