Drillsearch on the lookout for new CEO

Drillsearch Energy has announced its CEO Brad Lingo is leaving the top job, effective immediately.

Lingo has been CEO of Drillsearch for six years, during which time the company was transformed from a junior explorer to one of the leading mid-tier oil and gas companies on the ASX.

The company said it was searching for a new boss who could bring fresh ideas and a different expertise set to guide Drillsearch during its next growth phase.

The company said its Cooper Basin operations provide a strong platform to consider new opportunities, but it also noted the Drillsearch will look further afield for new growth.

CFO Walter Simpson has been appointed as acting CEO while the search is progressed.

Candidates from Australia and overseas are being considered.
