Downer has awarded its third contract to Track’em this year for the tracking of materials for development and maintenance work on a coal seam gas (CSG) facility.
Downer will use Track’em’s cloud-based software to increase visibility and control across all components involved with the fabrication, assembly, logistics and installation of CSG wellhead skids.
This includes status and location monitoring of parts as they move across supply chain partners globally and digitising document collation and inspections.
According to Downer contract manager Joshua Amos, the delivery of CSG wellhead skids involves suppliers and fabricators from all around the world.
“Software such as Track’em make the global supply chain processes simpler, and being a cloud-based system gives visibility to all stakeholders anywhere, which is a benefit in complex projects,” he said.
Track’em founder and chief executive Kashif Saleem added: “We have helped Downer on multiple complex projects already and this is another great win contributing to our commitment to deliver high-value enterprise resource tracking.”
Downer provides various services to Queensland’s CSG industry, covering greenfield construction, maintenance services, shutdown/turnaround/outage services, major and minor brownfield projects, industrial facilities maintenance and advisory services.
Downer provides services to the majority of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and hydrocarbon projects across Australia including upstream LNG field services in Queensland for Santos and Origin Energy.
The Track’em system implementation is under way, with all parties commencing full use this month.
