Downer and Boart Longyear win Cosmo gold mine contract

Downer EDI has been awarded the underground mining services contract for Crocodile Gold Corp’s Cosmo gold mine in the Northern Territory.

The two year contract is valued at around $70 million, and will begin next month.

The work includes development, mining, and all other associated work to maintain the required supply of mill feed ore at the underground Cosmo Deeps operation.

The diamond drilling contract has been awarded to Boart Longyear.

This contract will run for one year.

Leightons previously had the mining contract at the site.
