The annual Diggers and Dealers forum will be held in Kalgoorlie from 4 to 6 August 2008.

Heading the speakers at this year’s forum is Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s chief executive Sam Walsh, who will deliver the opening address.

Delegates will also receive a progress update from Fortescue Metals who are striving to be the third force in the Australian iron ore industry.

AngloGold Ashanti will be represented by chief executive officer Mark Cutifani who has recently taken control of the Company and is managing a strategy review to drive the company forward.

Diggers and Dealers provides the opportunity in these current volatile market conditions, for investors and industry participants to identify investment and business opportunities with a comprehensive industry overview.

This year, it is anticipated that in excess of 60 representatives of the media will be attending Diggers and Dealers.

Diggers and Dealers have announced a new award to be presented annually.

This award will be presented to a company with a market capitalisation less than $200 million that impresses most during the Diggers and Dealers forum.

The award will be judged by the media and will be presented along with the GJ Stokes Memorial award, Digger and Dealer of the year award and media award at the Gala dinner.
