Derby-Gibb River Road upgrade

THE Western Australian Government will spend $1.75million towards a $6.5million Derby-Gibb River Road project.

THE Western Australian Government will spend $1.75million towards a $6.5million Derby-Gibb River Road project.

The new project involved road and floodway improvements on a 48 km section of the Derby-Gibb River Road between Blina and Lennard River.

The Derby-Gibb River Road links the ports and airports of Derby and Broome and is the only link to the Derby Highway and the Great Northern Highway.

The works are scheduled to commence during the current dry season and be completed in the 2008 dry season.

The project will be managed Main Roads WA Kimberley region.
