Decmil win iron ore contract

Decmil Group has secured a contract to build the airstrip for Sino Iron at Cape Preston.

The $14.7 million contract will see Decmil provide the construction and commissioning of an airstrip and associated facilities at Cape Preston, south of Karratha, for Sino Iron’s magnetite port.

The scope of the contract includes bulk earthworks, clearing, and airfield pavements, including drainage, electrical, and fuel services.

The project will begin next month, and will be completed within this financial year.
