Production at a BHP Billiton coal mine in Indonesia has been halted after the death of a contract worker.
AAP reports the worker was killed at the IndoMet coal project in central Kalimantan, and a full investigation is currently underway.
According to AAP the worker was a subcontractor for local company PT Thiess Contractors.
Theiss said a team had been sent on site to investigate the accident, and safety was the company's top priority.
Both BHP and Thiess expressed sympathy for the worker's family.
