CYU posts positive results

China Yunnan Copper Australia (CYU) has posted positive drilling results at its Cloncurry North Project in Queensland.

China Yunnan Copper Australia (CYU) has posted positive results from its first pass drilling program at its Cloncurry North Project in northwest Queensland.

Five reverse circulation (RC) drillholes were completed at the Gem Prospect in May 2009 to test geophysical and geochemical surface copper mineralisation at the site.

Recent results have identified a significant copper-gold intersection near the surface and several prospective aeromagnetic features.

Mapping has also revealed mineralisation containing a series of sub-parallel mineralised lenses.

Ongoing step-out drilling is planned at Gem Prospect to define the scale of the site.
