CSG company acquires solar developer

COAL Seam Gas (CSG) exploration company Red Sky Energy has acquired SOLEIR, a developer of utility scale solar projects.

Red Sky, which focuses on commercialising gas resources through exploration and appraisal of its acreage portfolio, is also developing a market for liquefied natural gas (LNG), but claims to have a big-picture interest in clean energy.

According to the company, the acquisition of SOLEIR will allow it to develop a number of utility scale solar projects based on proven photovoltaic (PV) technology.

SOLEIR’s utility scale solar projects uses a solar tracking system based on the ARAMAX structural steel product, which it developed to provide a cost advantage for its solar farms.
