Contract worker found dead in donga

A contract worker was found dead in his room at a work site in Queensland on Friday.

The 34-year-old Ostwald Bros employee was found in his room at the construction project at Eurombah Creek after failing to appear at a morning meeting, The Chronicle reported.

Ostwald Bros said it was working with police and ambulance services to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

"The company has offered counselling support and assistance to the deceased's family as well as all their employees and will continue to make that support available as needed," the company said.

Ostwald Bros is contracted by Origin Energy to undertake work at the Eurombah Creek project, near Roma in Queensland’s Surat Basin.
