Company loosens belt after win

Innovative Conveying Systems International has won the 2008 Australian Bulk Handling Award for Excellence in Transport and/or Conveying.

Innovative Conveying Systems International has won the 2008 Australian Bulk Handling Award for Excellence in Transport and/or Conveying.

The company’s managing director Michael Pietsch told MINING DAILY that earning market share is always challenging for new technologies, however, the award may help the company’s enclosed belt conveying system make further inroads into the market.

“We have spent over 10 years researching and developing the ICS Belt system. Considering we’ve been commercial for less than 2 years, this is a major achievement for ICSI,” he said.

“The technology’s credibility is significantly improved through awards such as this and will assist in expanding the awareness and improving the acceptance of the ICS belt system.”

The award recognises companies that have introduced new or improved practices or technology that affects conveying and transport systems with a positive impact on performance, reliability, efficiency and the environment.
