Coal miner named Penthouse Pet

A Central Queensland underground coal mine worker will next month grace the cover of Penthouse Magazine.

Raunchy cover girl, Marella Dunn, 27, will be Penthouse Pet for the July edition of Australian Penthouse, and her father Rodney is “sort of proud of” the achievement, the Daily Mercury reports.

Dunn who’s modelling name is Marella Jane, didn’t launch into the industry straight after high school, instead deciding to get an education behind her first.

Raised in Moranbah, Dunn graduated James Cook University in Townsville with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree.

After university, she secured a job in the mines as an occupational health and safety, rehabilitation and return-to-work co-ordinator.

"My parents are supportive of me and my modelling career although my dad doesn't really want to know about it," she said.

"I had to tell my mum to tell my dad I was on the cover of Penthouse."

Dunn said she hopes to be named Penthouse Pet of the Year.
