CME appoints chief executive

THE Chamber of Minerals and Energy (CME) has appointed Reg Howard-Smith as chief executive officer.

THE Chamber of Minerals and Energy (CME) has appointed Reg Howard-Smith as chief executive officer.

The position reports to CME president Dr David Smith.

Howard-Smith has been acting in the role of chief executive officer for the CME recently.

He has held the position of director with the CME, managing a range of policy portfolios including education and training, immigration, safety and human resources.

Howard-Smith has worked in the oil, gas, and mining industries during his career.
