
All of the 33 miners trapped underground after a gas explosion in a Chinese coal mine have been found dead following the incident on Monday.
The blast happened in the city of Chongqing, at a mine operated by Jinshangou Coal Industry, with two miners managing to escape.
Each of the bodies were recovered with rescuers bowing their heads in memorial for the deceased, AP reports.
China’s State Administration of Work Safety ordered an investigation of the blast, calling for those responsible to be punished.
