AUSTRALIAN Mining invites editorial contributions and story ideas for its Centenary Feature: Mining in the Pilbara 1908 to 2008 in the August 2008 issue.

The Pilbara region of Western Australia (WA) is one of the most productive and diversified mineral regions in the world. It is the powerhouse of the resources industry, not only in Australia, but for the Asia-Pacific region. This centenary feature will look at the most exciting mining developments in the region, and the critical issues affecting the day-to-day mine operations. This special feature will review the biggest developments in infrastructure and investment over the past 100 years, and look at the most productive operations in the iron heart of Australia.
