Cave in at copper mine

Aditya Birla Minerals entered into trading halt on Friday morning amid speculation there has been a cave in at its Birla Nifty copper mine in the Pilbara.

The company called for the halt to remain until Tuesday morning when it will make an announcement about "possible ground subsidence".

The Nifty operation, located in the Great Sandy Desert Region approximately 1250km north of Perth, comprises of an historical open pit oxide mine and an underground sulphide mine with an associated concentrator.
