Capital Safety release new lifelines

Capital Safety have released new retrieval and fall arrest safety lifelines.

The Rebel SRL incorporates both fall arrest and a built-in emergency retrieval winch for rescue, making it a versatile solution for mine sites.

"Designed for confined space applications, the Rebel Retrieval self retracting lineline is built to last providing an economical fall protection solution without compromising safety or performance," Capital Safety technical manager Rick Millar said.

The 3-way SRL features the emergency winch, a rugged aluminium housing, a carrying handle for easy of transportation, a 140 kilogram capacity for the biggest of miners, and a robust design.

Rebel SRL also has 15 metres of 5mm galvanised steel cable lifeline, as well as a reserve lifeline system.

It also comes with an impact indicator to ensure the equipment has not previously been involved in a fall and been strained.

A self-locking top anchorage swivel holds the SRL in line with the worker's motion, allowing for ease of movement and increased mobility.

An optional mounting bracket ensure the unit is easily integrated with Capital Safety's Protecta tripod for a whole of operation confined space solution.
