BHP CEO pay falls

BHP CEO Andrew Mackenzie has seen a major decline in his remuneration year on year.

In line with the falling market value of his company, Mackenzie has seen his own pay packet sip as well.

In 2014 he was paid US$7.988 million.

However this has now fallen 43 per cent year on year due to ongoing difficulty in the market, with Mackenzie only earning US$4.6 million this year, according to the Wall Street Journal.

According to BHP there have been no increases to the Board's base salaries.
