BC Iron fills first cape size ship

 BC Iron’s Nullagine iron ore joint venture with Fortescue Metals has filled its first full cape size ship.

The Anangel Prosperity left Fortescue’s Herb Elliot Port in Port Hedland on Tuesday.

According to BC Iron, the joint venture is on track to achieve a production rate of more than three million tonnes of direct shipping ore by the end of CY 2011.
