Aussie miner hits ultra-high grade strike

Australian miner West African Resources has uncovered an ultra-high grade mineralisation at its M1 South Prospect in Burkina Faso.

Drilling at its prospect has returned results of 349.15 grams per tonne gold within 11 metres at 43.44 grams per tonne.

“The new result confirms continuity of ultra-high grade gold mineralisation at the M1 South prospect over at least 300 metres,” WAR managing director Richard Hyde stated.

The find is locating along the same strike that returned a 534.45 gram per tonne result earlier.

According to the company the drilling is occurring beneath historic artisanal workings, and due to “the extremely high grade results at M1 South, the company will review its feasibility and development options at the completion of the drilling program”.
