Ausenco has been awarded a $91 million gold processing plant contract.
Atlantic Gold Corporation awarded Ausenco the engineering, procurement and construction work for its Moose River Consolidated Gold Project in Nova Scotia, Canada.
“By the fourth quarter of 2017, Ausenco will deliver the project’s two million tonne per annum gold processing plant and various other related infrastructure [such as a truck shop and office facilities] for CAD 86.34 million ($91 million) under a fixed price EPC contract,” Ausenco said in a company statement.
Atlantic Gold is currently finalising its project financing including raising equity and finalising the debt funding facilities for the projects.
Ausenco CEO Zimi Meka said this project pointed towards renewed strength in gold, despite overall market volatility.
