Ausdrill wins contract extensions

Ausdrill has won a contract extension at the Ensham coal mine.

The agreement, worth approximately $38 millio, will see Ausdrill provide drilling services at the mine for another three years.

It will use four blast hole drill and one exploration drill, as well as 35 workers, to drill around 110 000 metres per month.

Their African operation, African Mining Services, has also renegotiated its exploration drilling contract with Newmont for its Ahafo gold mine in Ghana.

The contract is worth $8 million over 12 months.
