Ausdrill fetches new African contract

Ausdrill have announced a new contract awarded to subsidiary
company African Mining Services (AMS).

Ghana company Perseus Mining Limited have contracted AMS to
provide open pit services at the Edikan Gold Mine – Eastern Pits.

With a four year history with Perseus, AMS will commence
another three year contract with an option to extend for two years.

Mining will commence in the second quarter of 2015, with the
contract generating US$223 million in revenue for Ausdrill over five years.

Ausdrill managing director Ron Sayers said the contracxt
represented a delightful extension of the relationship with Perseus in Africa.

“The award of this contract clearly demonstrates the
capability of AMS to deliver quality service on schedule,” he said.

In October last year Ausdrill were faced legal action in Ghana over the accidental death of a bulldozer training assessor who was killed while assessing a student with forged tickets.
