Base metals explorer Auroch Minerals has appointed DDH1 Drilling to undertake aggressive maiden drilling programs at the Arden and Bonaventura projects in South Australia.
The programs, expected to start this month, will involve up to 5000m of a combination of reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling to target high-grade base metals and gold mineralisation across seven high-priority target areas.
Auroch’s drilling plans at the Arden project will test three high-priority targets identified by the company from both historical and current exploration.
Its drilling program at the Bonaventura project will focus on four target areas that the company has determined are the highest exploration priorities.
Auroch chief executive Aidan Platel said the company continued to build momentum following the results of its recent IP survey.
“To have seven high-priority drill targets with great potential for high-grade mineralisation and significant scale for our maiden program is quite extraordinary; we really are just seeing the tip of the iceberg in terms of exploring the large areas covered by our two projects,” Patel said.
Auroch will utilise two drill rigs through DDH1 so that both projects are progressed simultaneously.
