Atlas Iron chairman Geoff Clifford has announced his resignation.
Clifford will step down from 31 July.
In the mean time, David Hannon will step in as interim chairman until the miner announces a revised board structure, after which he will step back into his role as an independent non-executive director.
Atlas managing director, David Flanagan, stated that “Geoff has made a substantial contribution to the growth of Atlas, in particular taking on the role of chairman in 2008 during a testing time for the company as we started our first mining operation at Pardoo amidst the challenges of the global financial crisis.”
The miner will begin searching for a new chairman and recruit additional directors.
