Atlas Copco’s WEDA S50 sludge pump is a durable product designed with rental companies and general contractors in mind.
The S50 model has a rated output of 4.8 kilowatts and can handle solids up to 50 millimetres.
As part of the WEDA S range, the S50 is designed for dewatering sludge mixtures.
Atlas Copco Power and Flow Division product Manager Hrishikesh Kulkarni said the pump’s ability to handle abrasive materials up to 50 millimetres makes it an ideal choice for rentals.
“The WEDA S50 is an ideal pump for rental companies and general contractors where they don’t have to worry about what goes in the pump,” he said.
“The S50 fits neatly into the existing range of Sludge pumps, making our S family portfolio complete with a range.”
Atlas Copco provides WEDA+ features as standard with the S50, including rotation control, phase failure protection, thermal switches in each motor winding, and 16 amps phase shifter plugs.
WEDA+ pumps feature a 20-metre cable with reinforced entry points for high water leakage resistance.
The S50 is designed with hardened high-chrome impellers and volute to deliver robust wear resistance. Corrosion resistance is also made possible by its alumnium alloy construction.
Its low weight also enables the product to be easily handled and transported.
Atlas Copco has designed the WEDA S50 for ease of operation and maintenance.
Its seal system features a modular design for ease of maintenance, which allows for on-site maintenance with minimum downtime.
The pump is also fitted with an oil inspection plug to simplify inspections.
The entire WEDA range, including the new S50 is available across Atlas Copco’s dealer network.
