Atlas Copco has expanded its manufacturing plant in India, boosting its productivity solutions for the mining sector.

The plant, located in Hyderabad, manufactures drilling consumables for surface mining applications, with the expansion doubling its capacity.

The new facility includes a world class R&D test centre for rock drilling products.

It has also enabled the employment of 35 more workers, in addition to its 200 employees.

“The expanded factory will strengthen our delivery process, enhancing productivity for our customers globally,” Helena Hedblom, president of Atlas Copco’s Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area, said.

“It will also ensure development of competitive products at a faster pace.”
