Atlantic investigating legal action over crushing plant problems

Atlantic is looking into legal action over its Windimurra vanadium operation’s crushing, milling, and benefication (CMB) plant’s continual problems.

The miner acquired the mineral processing plant from Mineral Resources, and since that time states it has “spent in excess of $20 million to date rectifying issues in the CMB plant and suffered significant losses due to the problems arising from the plant, estimated to be in excess of $100 million”.

The miner went on to say it has started contractual mediation procedures with Mineral Resources to obtain additional material for its investigations; however “this process has been delayed because of unavailability of Mineral Resources management, which led to a fixed date for a mediation being cancelled”.

Atlantic is continuing its investigation.
