Another Chinese contract for Industrea

Industrea has announced a $3.9 million contract to deliver three longwall roof support carriers to Inner Mongolia Huineng Group.

Mining products provider Industrea yesterday announced a $3.9 million contract to deliver three longwall roof support carriers to the Chinese-based Inner Mongolia Huineng Group.

The company will provide three IME 50 tonne carriers to the Group, which operates coal mines, power plants and water and road infrastructure.

Inner Mongolia Huineng Group’s mines are capable of producing up to 15 million tonnes of coal per year.

Industrea has now secured around $26 million worth of mining equipment orders to China’s expanding coal industry since the start of the 2009/10 financial year.

According to the company’s managing director Robin Levison, “The recent stream of contract wins in China has shown that Industrea is firmly embedded in the Chinese coal mining industry as the supplier of choice.”

“Our local subsidiary, Wadam, has established a strong presence on the ground and our record of successful product delivery and commissioning continues to win new orders,” he said.
