AMMA forums on new IR reforms

THE Australian Mines and Metals Association (AMMA) will host special Members Forums on 14 February in Perth and 15 February in Melbourne highlighting the introduction of the Federal Government’s new Industrial Relations Reforms.

AMMA general manager for membership services Christopher Platt will run both sessions.

The Federal Government has begun the process of implementing the industrial relations reforms it outlined in the lead up to the last federal election.

The ALP policy will be implemented in two stages.

The first stage will involve the passage of a Transitional Bill which will remove access to AWAs, provide for an Interim Individual Statutory Agreement (an ITEA), and commence the award modernisation process.

If you are interested in attending either of these member only events, email membership@amma.org.au.
